Plain Speaking Agency is delighted to have helped another of our clients achieve success, with a winning award submission. On Tuesday 24th November 2015, Farnell Clarke accountants and business advisors, who have offices in Norwich and Lowestoft, were named Independent Firm of the Year in the East of England, at the UK's most prestigious awards for the profession: The British Accountancy Awards. The award was presented to Farnell Clarke managing director Will Farnell by comedian Rufus Hound at a ceremony at The Brewery in London. The judges recognised Farnell Clarke for its far from typical approach to accountancy and its innovative use of technology to help clients. In addition to scooping the award for best independent firm in the East, Farnell Clarke was also runner up in the prestigious category of National Independent Firm of the Year. The British Accountancy Awards pinpoint professional development and also highlight excellence in the accountancy profession. Farnell Clarke was one of only four businesses shortlisted in its category. Launched by Will Farnell in May 2007, Farnell Clarke started off as a home-based business with 15 clients. Eight years on, the firm employs 25 staff and is set for a million pound turnover by the end of 2015.
