We are passionate about creating quality public places for people. For more than 20 years I have consulting in planning and urban design. Being paid to do the work for other people. Over the years I have benefitted from websites which offer tools, training and podcasts on professional development. I saw an opportunity to provide this for urban design. Could I help clients, consultants or stakeholders learn more and enable them to contribute more to the process of placemaking? This was the inspiration for me in 2009 to start Placefocus with a mission "to help people around the world create and promote places with meaning and identity". At Placefocus, we enable innovative people in the built environment field to create these authentic and quality public places. We provide them with tools, information and training which is available online anytime as well as face to face.
