PKA AIP is an investment advisor owned by four individual PKA pension funds. PKA AIP’s clients are currently the four PKA pension funds owning PKA AIP (the “PKA Funds”). Since 2012, PKA AIP has provided PKA with advice in relation to alternative investments, including investments in funds and co-investments with fund managers. PKA is an administrative company that manages and develops labor market pensions on behalf of four independent pension funds with a total of around 300,000 members within the social welfare and health care sectors in Denmark. The members’ pension schemes have been agreed on as part of a collective bargaining agreement between the organizations of employees and employers, thus ensuring a high degree of transparency for future payments to the PKA Funds. The total capital of the PKA Funds amounts to approximately DKK 275 billion (USD 42 billion) which is primarily invested in bonds, shares, real assets and absolute return assets.
