Pitcrew AI builds autonomous thermal inspection systems for mining and heavy vehicle fleets. The Pitcrew Autonomous Inspection System (AIS) is a roadside station that combines thermal cameras, edge computing and our own computer vision models. It inspects every vehicle on every pass without stopping, and results reach the maintenance team within minutes. In mining, trailer or skid-mounted stations sit beside the haul road and detect tyre damage, heat separations and other thermal anomalies on crewed and autonomous haul trucks. Trucks are identified through fleet management and TPMS interfaces, number recognition or RFID. Pitcrew AIS complements TPMS. TPMS measures pressure and temperature inside the tyre, and Pitcrew sees what is happening on the outside. On the road, depot entry stations with an in-ground camera find brake, hub, bearing and tyre faults on heavy vehicles well before a manual inspection would, and give operators audit-ready records for Chain of Responsibility obligations. Pitcrew AI is based in Newcastle, Australia, with deployments across Australia, the Americas and Africa. We work with tier-one miners and global tyre service partners to prevent unscheduled downtime and keep people safe.
