Licensed with the State of California as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Pilgrim Place is a type of retirement community where a continuum of care - independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care - is offered. At Pilgrim Place, your future healthcare needs are secure. Pilgrim Place is a community of persons who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of others and continue to do so in retirement. Daily activities and practices at Pilgrim Place are themes of service to each other, support of local and global peace, advocacy for social justice efforts, and a passion for environmental stewardship. Intentional acts of kindness, friendship, and activism are at the core of our ethos. Environmental stewardship is a community priority at Pilgrim Place. Sharing this commitment, the administrative team, the Board of Directors, and residents unified in collaboration to significantly reduce the energy costs and carbon footprint of the whole community through three LEED-certified buildings, the installation of over 2,000 solar panels, initiating solar power, and, since 2000, a 50% reduction in water use.
