Harrison-Hamnett, P.C. Consulting Structural Engineers was established in 1989 to provide creative structural design services for clients with emphasis on service. Our vast experience includes the structural design for additions to existing buildings as well as new construction for educational and institutional facilities, commercial, industrial, municipal, religious and residential buildings. We also have an extensive background in the study of historic and older structures and the structural design and detailing for the restoration and renovation work needed for these projects.

The firm was founded in 1996 as L. F. Engineers (dba), and it was registered as L F Engineering, PLLC (LFE) with New York State on 2002. LFE is a certified DBE and MBE firm. Since its founding, LFE has provided a wide range of consulting services in structural and civil engineering. The founder of the company, Mr. Lee Fang, P.E., is a recognized expert in seismic analysis and design and has more than thirty years of experience teaching and practicing structural engineering. He was the president of Buffalo Section of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the year 2005-2006 and the past Chairman of Structures and Computers Committee of Buffalo Section of ASCE for many years. More than 70% of LFEs projects have involved complex new buildings or the reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing facilities. Several of these projects received awards. Our engineers have experience across a wide range of projects. They routinely upgrade their knowledge of new materials, technologies, codes, and design methods, and use state of the art computer softwares in engineering analysis and design. They are dedicated to using their experience and knowledge in providing the highest quality services marked by innovation and cost-effectiveness. We value our reputation of delivering excellent designs on schedule, within the budget, and with the total quality control throughout the design process. Since 2004, LFE has been committed to the policy that design engineers prepare all construction drawings. Very few companies make this commitment. However, we believe firmly that preparing drawings is an integral component of design work and must be performed by engineers. As a further measure of quality control, LFE design engineers review all shop drawings and submittals.
