46 Pictures is a California corporation founded by Jay Foster in 1997. Originally the company was formed to produce photography shoots & provide rental production equipment, but since 2012, 46 Pictures represents commercial photographers who shoot for stills/print or film/video media. Jay Foster graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1985, relocated to Los Angeles where he began his experience in the industry as an assistant photographer. Jay's career launched and magnified while working with photographer/director Peggy Sirota from 1987 to 2007 eventually becoming the V.P./Executive Producer there. Jay went on to become the Head of Print at Prettybird Pictures from 2008 to 2012. Since 2012, his reinvented his company 46 Pictures to represent photographers/filmmakers. His vast experience in the photography business continues to be an invaluable asset to both photographers and clients.
