The RehabGYM is a unique Vermont health, rehabilitation, and fitness model that brings physical therapy, athletic training, medically directed exercise, personal training, and fitness together under one roof. The RehabGYM was created around a simple but powerful idea: people should not have to wait until they are injured or sick to receive professional guidance about their health and physical function. Rehabilitation and prevention should be part of the same continuum. Unlike a traditional physical therapy clinic or conventional health club, The RehabGYM combines the clinical expertise of physical therapists and athletic trainers with the equipment, environment, and accessibility of a specialty fitness facility. This allows people to move seamlessly from injury and illness, through rehabilitation, and ultimately toward lifelong fitness and prevention. The RehabGYM treats the whole person rather than simply the injured body part. Physical therapists work with patients to identify the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, restore movement and strength, and help people return to the activities that matter to them. Athletic trainers provide expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, conditioning, and performance, while personal trainers help members continue building strength, balance, endurance, flexibility, and confidence.
