PhD2Published is an online resource founded by Charlotte Frost offering academic book publishing advice to first timers. The idea behind it is to provide a wealth of hints and tips on how emergent academics might get their all important first book in print, as well delivering discussion on the future of academic writing and publishing in the e-age. Charlotte’s reasons for starting the site were to help bring post-PhD’ers (like herself) up to speed with techniques for getting work in print (a problematic pre-requisite for many academic jobs); make the whole area a bit more transparent; and discuss how new technologies and the openness of the web might challenge time-honoured methods for validating academic work.
