Pharmaero ApS is a company specializing in developing novel inhalation therapies based on its proprietary ADI® platform. The ADI® is a handheld inhaler working without electronics and is designed to dispense a metered dose of liquid drug accurately to the lungs. This gives great flexibility with regards to where and when it can be used and aims at optimizing patients’ adherence by limiting the drawbacks of current inhalation technologies. The Company is developing several ADI® products for the treatment of lung infections in Cystic Fibrosis patients. Pharmaero is also exploring the use of the ADI® in other therapeutic areas with several partners. Pharmaero was founded in 2009 and is a 50:50 joint venture between Scandinavian Health Ltd. (SHL Group), a significant player in the injectable device space, and Xellia Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on providing important anti-infective treatments against serious and often life-threatening bacterial and fungal infections.
