Polish Family Support Centre is a voluntary organisation established in 2009. We are a growing charity focusing on providing support to the Polish minority in Scotland. We offer comprehensive support for disadvantaged people through offering professional counselling, psychological and advocacy services, principally targeting the difficulties Polish face after leaving their native country. PFSC aims to provide the best quality of services for Polish community residing in Scotland and the UK. This is why we have a team of proffessionals, qualified in their fileds of practice and committed volunteers that provide help, support and advocacy for Polish minority in Scotland, particularly in Edinburgh. We put emphasis on four core aspects of our practice: Psychological wellbeing: individual and group sessions, workshops and support groups Education: educate adults on their rights and improve their language skills. Moreover we support children to adapt to the new culture and environment. Advocacy: we take action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need Integration: we organise many events throughout the year for the Polish families in Scotland such as: Children’s Day, Christmas Party.
