Pfiffner Switchgear looks back on nearly a century of history: founded in 1928 as Alpha Elektrotechnik AG, it has been operating under the Pfiffner brand since 2025 with three business divisions, each located at a different site. With over 90 years of experience, the disconnect switch business in Grenchen traces its roots to ALPHA Elektrotechnik AG. As part of Pfiffner Switchgear, this legacy continues, integrating the circuit breaker unit in Hirschthal to strengthen the commitment to high-quality power transmission in the high-voltage sector. The acquisition at the end of 2025 of the "Electrical Switches & Connectors" business division from R&S Group Holding AG in Sissach expanded expertise in switching devices and connection solutions for low- and medium-voltage applications.
