Founded in 1792, Jerónimo Martins is an international Group based in Portugal that operates in the food distribution and specialised retail sectors. Present in 6 countries and counting with more than 6 thousand stores, we are one of the oldest retailers in the world. We address the daily needs of millions of consumers through a value proposition based on quality food at competitive prices. Food distribution is our main activity and is worth more than 98% of the Group’s consolidated sales. Biedronka is our largest business and, in addition to being the undisputed market leader in Poland, it is developing a new operation in Slovakia. In Poland, we own the Hebe chain of beauty stores, which is also present in Czechia and Slovakia. In Portugal, Pingo Doce is the leading supermarkets chain, while Recheio is the leading cash & carry operator. Ara is our chain of neighbourhood stores in Colombia, which celebrated a decade of operations in 2023.
