Persist was founded in 2019 by traditional advertising veterans Gwen Barker and Kate O’Connell to transform the world of social-justice marketing. Persist believes we can affect real change through our craft, and it’s our calling to do so. We marry intensive agency experience with a progressive activism value system to create honest, authentic, impactful, and effective work for clients like M4BL, Toyota, People For The American Way, NTEN, Transparency International, Future Now Fund, and JustFund. Persist actively works towards the goals of intersectional feminism, racial equity, environmental conservation, socio-economic justice for all, and diversity & inclusion in the workspace. We believe change must come from within the agency itself as much as through the work we produce. To drive that evolution, we actively recruit talented professionals of all races, countries of origin, economic backgrounds, gender identities, abilities, ages, and sexual orientations to ensure our team authentically represents the work we create.
