The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections. The Library's mission is to support the Congress in fulfilling its constitutional duties and to further the progress of knowledge and creativity for the benefit of the American people.

Lions meet the needs of our local communities and the world. Over 1.4 million people in 210 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Since 1858, The American Printing House for the Blind has operated in Louisville, Kentucky as the world’s largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating accessible learning experiences through educational, workplace, and independent living products and services for people who are blind and low vision. Our mission is to empower people who are blind or low vision by providing accessible and innovative products, materials, and services for lifelong success. We believe the future belongs to everyone.
