Founded in 2010, Pulse Dance Company is the non-profit adult performing company at Studio Pulse Center for Dance . As a creation-based contemporary dance company committed to excellence and community engagement, we focus on enriching the city in which we live through inclusive performances, collaboration, artist in residence programs, professional development opportunities, and the creation and presentation of innovative concert dance. Our goal in carrying out this mission is to continually deepen the artistic experience for our artists, collaborators, and audiences, and we strive to present visceral and imaginative works that are deeply relevant to the time and place in which we live. Pulse Dance Company aims to foster dialogue on the transformative nature of dance and the importance of its continued evolution in Anchorage, Alaska. Our programs forge vital connections between artists and audiences, create space for dialogue across differences, and inspire and energize the Anchorage community. Our 10-year track record of critically acclaimed season programming has made Pulse Dance Company an integral leader in contemporary dance in Alaska.
