People At Their Peak was incorporated as a non-profit entity created to host an annual extreme endurance athletic fundraiser, the prototype for which was held 10/10/10 on Piestewa Peak, in Phoenix, Arizona. Ten athletes from across the country participated in the day-long event involving ten continuous repetitions of the 1.2 mile/1200' elevation-gain trail to the top, combining just over the distance of a marathon (24 miles) with the elevation gain of a one day Grand Canyon in-and-out.
