Principal and Founder at EllaMae, LLC Dr. Henry earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Cornell University under Prof. Fred W. McLafferty. During his experience at Cornell he worked with theoretical and applied techniques associated with atmospheric ionization for biological mass spectrometry. At Hewlett-Packard, now Agilent Technologies, he developed expertise in the design, development, and operation of mass spectrometry systems and was a lead contributor to the development of the 1100A LC/MSD and the 5972 MSD. He later went on develop a broader range of skills in the development of analytical instrumentation for a number of companies that took him and his family to southeast Wyoming. Under Dr. Henrys R&D management, a small environmental monitoring consulting and instrumentation firm grew and successfully relocated to Northern Colorado. Dr. Henry is presently developing environmental instrumentation for the navy and providing technical consulting and documentation services in product development, analytical robotics, mass spectrometry, and metabolomics. Dr. Henry has over twelve years of experience in both technical contribution and project and personnel management related to the design and development of scientific instrumentation. Dr. Henry has performed these capacities for both large Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard/Agilent and for mid-size and small companies such as Finnigan and In-Situ, respectively. During the six years from 1998 through early 2004, Dr. Henry served as the Director of Research and Development for In-Situ, Inc., an environmental water-quality monitoring company based in Laramie, Wyoming. During this time Dr. Henry managed the design, fabrication, testing, and production of low power, networked, battery operated microelectronic systems used in complex, submersible water monitoring instruments.
