Penn-Plax began in 1956 as a small pet shop in Brooklyn, New York where our family was on the cutting edge of innovation, making never before seen products by hand to stock our shelves. In the 1960's, as demand for our products grew, we expanded our pet shop business into full-scale pet product manufacturing located on Pennsylvania Avenue in Brooklyn, and the name "Penn-Plax" was born. Throughout our history, Penn-Plax has further refined our focus on innovation by being first to market on some of the the most popular pet products to date.
