Peebles High School Information

Peebles High School offers the opportunity for all students to achieve success. They are taught how to think, how to learn, how to enjoy exploration and how to make the most of their talents in a challenging and supportive environment. We have a committed and enthusiastic staff who work in partnership with parents and the community to deliver an enhanced high quality educational experience. The Parent Council and the Parent Teacher Association work proactively with the school. We figure in the list of top achieving schools in Scotland in examination results and pride ourselves on the many extra-curricular opportunities we offer in sport, music, drama, activity clubs, theatre visits, charity events and international activities. In line with National and Authority directives, we have implemented a strategic plan to develop courses and innovative learning strategies which match the needs and aspirations of all our learners. The enhanced curriculum delivery will challenge all ability levels and offer greater choice in the new National Qualifications - developing successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Our website offers you relevant information regarding the school and serves as a principal means of communication between the school, the parent body and the community at large (local, national and international). I hope you find the website useful and would welcome your thoughts on any aspects of the site or school.
