Velocity supports athletes and organizations striving to achieve their best performance.
Velocity was founded in 1999 by world-renowned coach Loren Seagrave, a five-time NCAA champion coach who trains Olympic, professional, and college athletes. Velocity continued to evolve its elite training methodology under the direction of High Performance Director Ken Vick. The integrated methodology has provided training, rehab, regen, nutrition and mindset to elite athletes and organizations ranging from US Soccer and US Cycling, the Chinese Olympic Committee, athletes from the national teams of 17 countries and 20 1st round NFL draft picks.
At Velocity, athletes of any skill level can realize their potential through advanced training programs taught by degreed and certified coaches proven to increase speed, power, and agility, while reducing the risk of sports-related injuries.
The degree of physical, physiological, and performance adaptation that occurs during training is strongly related to the mechanical specificity, neuromuscular, and metabolic specificity of the training program. In other words if we want athletes to be prepared physically for competition they must train with intention. We must focus on increasing efficiency by eliminating compensation and wasted movement. We then progress to activities that target increasing thresholds in the tissues so that the body can handle the stresses of the sport without breakdown.
The body is always adapting. Our focus is to provide stimulus for positive adaptations to produce a mind and body necessary to compete under stress.
The Dynamic Sports Academy is one of the UK's leading athletic training and development organisations. With their Total Athlete Development approach which focuses on character development as well as physical development, they have developed many professional and collegiate athletes, along with helping people of all levels understand more about health and fitness.
The DSA are working with many organisations to expand their developmental model to reach more young people and athletes of all levels.
