PCPG is a brand new organization, starting out with a single campaign: to create the first-ever Pay-for-Success (PFS) contract for conservation. This campaign will require the work of experts in the field of forest management and forest rehabilitation, support from policymakers, and collaboration with firms that have the competencies to administer a PFS. How is PCPG going to do this? It has expertise in this exact kind of work, in spearheading campaigns in Washington, DC that achieved passage of a federal law to limit the flow of illegally-sourced wood and wood products into the U.S. This effort required building a diverse coalition, producing reports that articulated the law's need and value, and shepherding the legislation through the process until it was signed by the president.
