PBS Insurance Limited (PBSI) was formed in a partnership between PBS Group Managing Director Tony Le Tiec, insurance specialist Si Aziz and former Acorn Mortgages director, Steve Ryan. PBSI, the first 'start-up business' in the general insurance mediation sector to be granted a licence from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, offers insurance advice and products to professional services and high net worth clients. The business was registered in early 2012 and officially launched at the beginning of June. The Company’s aim is to provide a dynamic and well-connected (London market and key insurance underwriters) service to financial institutions (inc. personnel), their client companies, individual clients and high net worth individuals. The Company will be avoiding ‘shelf products’ and approaching enquiry line from an entirely bespoke, one-to-one perspective in order to ensure particular requirements are specifically dealt with. Trust and high net worth clients often have unusual or non-standard needs, that are not catered for in many high end, ‘off the shelf’ policies.
