Gateau Health and Wellness Center is one company with two distinct services; physical therapy and medically oriented gym. Together, these services bridge the gap between medicine and fitness. Gateau Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Gateau Physical Therapy was established in 1987 by licensed physical therapist, Bonnie Gateau PT, CSCS. We have been providing quality outpatient physical therapy services to the Southern Maryland region for over 30 years. Our staff of licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are dedicated to providing you with physical therapy care in a professional setting. Our business thrives and relies heavily on referrals from satisfied patients who return for additional services and recommend our services to friends and family. The Medically Oriented Gym (M.O.G.) The Medically Oriented Gym is the first of its kind in Maryland, however we are part of a nationally recognized co-op. We are apply our experience and specialized skills to bridge the gap between medicine and fitness. The Medically Oriented Gym (M.O.G.) is specifically designed to empower its members and improve lives through fitness, wellness, guidance, and care. With exceptionally qualified and professional staff on hand, we help patients and members get and/or stay fit, while preventing injuries in a way that no other provider of wellness and fitness can. The M.O.G. is staffed by Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Exercise Physiologists. Membership benefits include a comprehensive assessment that includes BMI, body fat percentage, VO2max, blood pressure, O2 sats, a re-assessment of those values every 90 days, set-up of an exercise program based on a member's goals, their orthopedic and medicals condition, and past exercise experience with demonstration of the exercise equipment. Group classes are also available as part of membership. We believe in getting more out of your gym.
