Paws & Pause is a London CIC running a leading nursery style dog daycare AND a recovery to employment programme that changes lives. Our #PressPlay Trainee Programme supports adults rebuilding after addiction and mental ill health through structured placements, workshops, 1-2-1 goal setting and real responsibility caring for dogs. Impact (2024/25): 32 trainees supported 79% programme completion 8 job starts, 14 course enrolments, 7 volunteering roles 90% reported increased confidence 100% reported a stronger sense of belonging 22.48% reduction in how much mental health/substance use negatively impacts daily life We work with NHS and council partners and are now building private partnerships with recovery clinics, mental health practices and wellness providers seeking a trusted aftercare pathway.
