The original store was established January 19, 1991. It was known as the Samanthas Sunny Corner. From that point on I never looked back. A second store was established in 1993 on Market Ave N.W. and like all the best ideas, its quite simple. Start by serving exceptional American comfort food with a contemporary twist, and that is how I established my Store Samanthas Restaurant on Portage. A finalization of an evolution from the other stores that are independently owned and operated; when you come into Samanthas its a comfortable place to enjoy your favorite breakfast, eat a fantastic meal and meet up with your friends or family. We have original recipes from 1991 that have been a staple to my business. Our menu ranges from breakfast stackers to homemade chicken pot pies from scratch to specialty entrees to homemade soups and salads. In November 2011, a new addition was added; a full service bar. So if you want that bloody Mary or mimosa for breakfast, a beer, wine or an adult beverage we offer it. We also offer call ahead seating and a party room to reserve. My goal has always been You can eat as healthy or unhealthy as you want Some days you just need a fried food fest that makes you feel good, and some days you want to go healthy with fresh vegetables, spinach and a lighter side like fresh salads or homemade soup.
