Pathology Information

We are a private group practice, incorporated in 1969, consisting of five anatomic and clinical pathologists serving three hospitals, a private anatomic pathology laboratory and over 20 outreach clinics. We currently process approximately 17,000 surgical specimens and 22,000 cytologic samples with in-house flow cytometry, immunoperoxidase and HPV testing. We are also the first laboratory in Wisconsin to implement the ThinPrep® Imaging system which, in combination with the ThinPrep® Pap test, enables us to offer Image Directed Cytology (IDC). We are located in a north central Wisconsin community of approximately 75,000 with abundant, 4-season, outdoor recreational opportunities, very affordable housing, low crime, outstanding public school system, and easy access to major midwestern metropolitan centers. Located on the Wisconsin River, Wausau, Wisconsin is surrounded by rolling hills, forests, rivers and lakes, and boasts its own downhill ski hill, a world class whitewater kayak park, an outstanding performing arts center, and major retail outlets.
