Path Scientific, LLC is a privately held medical device company. Our lead product is PathFormer, a smart drill that painlessly creates openings in finger nails and toenails to deliver antifungals. The openings enhance delivery of drugs to treat onychomycosis (nail fungus infection) and relieve pain from subungual hematoma (black toe). Our transdermal product automatically creates pathways painlessly in skin (stratum corneum) and nail. These openings provide access for drug delivery, analyte extraction, draining fluids, and improving ECG measurement accuracy. Our orthopedic device can be programmed to drill holes in bone, in vivo, to precise depths that can be set by the surgeon or automatically, using hardware data. It can also be programmed to drill to or a preset depth beyond the far cortex of the bone.
