Path 2 Flight set out to get more people into the air by removing the three biggest barriers to flight: access, time, and cost. Founded by Jill Hoffman in 2015, it launched path2flight.com in 2018: a marketplace where anyone could find and book a flight experience near them, from a discovery flight to a glider ride, and where flight schools got simple tools to welcome new customers. Virtual reality training from home was planned as the next phase. Then 2020 froze early-stage funding and grounded most of aviation. The idea was early, not wrong. The company closed in 2020.
