Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA), formerly National Relief Charities, is a nonprofit dedicated to quality of life for Native Americans living on remote and poverty-stricken reservations in the Plains and Southwest. Our mission is "To help Native American people improve the quality of their lives by providing opportunities for them to bring about positive changes in their communities." The majority of PWNA's support is designed to help meet the basic human needs of those most vulnerable: Native American Elders and youth. PWNA has over 1,000 reservation “program partners” on 60 reservations. We work with them year-round to deliver over 5 million pounds of high-quality goods a year. In addition to providing humanitarian relief through material aid, PWNA also provides educational assistance, supports the work in process by reservation communities, and helps build more capacity. This approach respects local determination and supports more self-sufficient American Indian communities.
