Partakers Information

For over 27 years, Partakers has worked to reduce recidivism by supporting systems-impacted people through a unique community mentor model. Through our reentry initiative and higher education in prison mentorship programs, we pair incarcerated students and returning citizens with volunteer mentor teams to build bridges between life inside and outside of the prison. We build these bridges to provide critical support to those impacted by the justice system and to mend the gap between confinement and community. Our goal is to change the narrative around those impacted by incarceration and to create support networks that create sustained transformation across communities. Students in our programming show a 2% recidivism rate compared to the national average of 79% (Bureau of Justice Statistics).
