Parma Violet can be found halfway down the Main Street in the wonderfully quaint Victorian market town of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria (less than 1/2 an hour's drive from the Lake District), together with many other award winning and independently owned shops, cafes and restaurants. It was dreamt of long before it was born (some dreams really do come true!) and when the doors finally opened in April 2005, we were at last able to reveal our eclectic mix of GIFTS, CLOTHING, CARDS, BOOKS and VINTAGE items on the first floor, together with three more rooms in the cellar providing a treasure trove of fabulous TOYS for good girls and boys beneath! It is our aim to try to change our stock and displays regularly to be able to offer you the very best products we can find according to the seasons and as such you might come in to buy a hand crafted jute rug but also leave with a cute little vintage chocolate mould, a handmade button bracelet or a sticky mousehole for your skirting board.
