It was over 200 years ago back in 1794 when the Parkhouse legacy first began in Southampton as Daniel Pegler, the son of an established Blanford jeweller set up his business. The story heads north when Scotland’s oldest independent family jeweller LAING, established in 1840, acquired Parkhouse and Wyatt in Southampton in 1995, with the Cardiff PARKHOUSE store unveiled in July 2000 to coincide with the monumental return of this great city’s Welsh Parliament. As a 6th generation family jeweller with two stores in Scotland’s capital city as well as PARKHOUSE in Hampshire and Cardiff, the Company embraces a new generation of contemporary design whilst respecting the classical, time-honoured traditions of its predecessors. To this day, each and every stone is handpicked in Antwerp by Michael Laing to superior standards to ensure outstanding cut, colour grade, clarity and quality of diamond. A marriage of independent family businesses with unrivalled histories, PARKHOUSE, like LAING, is proud to maintain its independent tradition. Today, nearly 200 years later and under the ownership of Michael Laing OBE, one of the UK’s leading gemmologists, and the great great- great grandson of the founding family, PARKHOUSE continues to define the art of fine jewellery and watches and maintains its inimitable reputation for craftsmanship, exceptional design, superior diamonds and precious gemstones. The modernised interior of PARKHOUSE Hampshire features luxurious Patek Philippe, Rolex and Omega buying areas, and other top Swiss watch brands including Cartier, Tudor, Chopard, IWC, Longines, TAG Heuer and Breitling. PARKHOUSE Cardiff moved to a city centre location in the grand St David's 2 in 2009, where it now sits in a prime position opening onto The Hayes. The luxury showroom is the only home in Wales to Cartier, IWC and Chopard, and is also proud stockist of Omega, Longines and TAG Heuer.
