NextGen Panel Limited is a deep-tech company specialising in delivering a next-generation Flat Panel Array ('FPA') for advanced X-ray imaging which can be used in medical, dental, veterinary and Non-Destructive Evaluation ('NDE') industrial applications. Our goal is to enable more clinically useful and cost-effective X-ray imaging solutions through innovative Flat Panel Array technology that will transform the portability and utility of X-ray imaging. We are filing key patents pertaining to a next-gen FPA that goes beyond the first generation in size (smaller), power (greater) and cost (lower). First-generation FPA-based devices did not deliver transformation due to a lack of source performance caused by one or more technological gaps in cathode technology, packaging, control and manufacture; but technology and supply chain advances overcome these issues: • New field emission approaches with a triode structure to allow a low-cost FPA capable of higher flux and variable end-point energies, extending the possible applications. • Deep learning-based image reconstruction allows new approaches to image formation, changing the game in terms of form factor and dose. • New cathode technology unlocks low-cost high-power field emitters. The increase in power is critical to allow FPAs to be viable in abdominal imaging, mammography and dynamic applications. • Patent expiration allows triode and other advanced designs to be utilised without encumbrances. Building on decades of experience in X-ray source commercialization, our roadmap progresses quickly to deploy a marketable system in veterinary and NDE applications. The first system will come in shielded (NDE) and unshielded versions (veterinary) and be large enough to image a large dog's chest cavity or a large 3D printed or composite part. Our focus is proving that our next-gen X-ray source delivers the power and scalability to transform imaging, and that transformation.
