The Palliser Airshed Society (PAS) was established in the Spring of 2003 to monitor air quality in the Medicine Hat / Redcliff region. To date there is one continuous monitoring site and 22 passive sampling sites. PAS also recently initiated operations of an Airpointer® continuous monitoring station in Brooks. The continuous monitoring site (located in Crescent Heights, Medicine Hat) provides real time data for NO2, SO2, O3, CO, THC, PM2.5 and Meteorological Data. Monthly data from the passive sites includes NOx, SO2 and O3.
