Palette Session Australia is a not-for-profit organising experimental dance sessions for freestyle dancers of all genres to discover the unique colour of their movement and celebrate the unique colour of others. A session is a gathering of dancers who improvise to music with the intent of developing their craft and building tight-knit communities. Palette Session was created in South Korea by choreographer and freestyle dancer CHAEDO in 2022 with principles he developed while studying at Paekche Institute of the Arts. The group has a membership of 582 dancers, performers and choreographers within Korea's flourishing street dance industry. In February 2024, Palette Session established its first international chapter - Palette Session Australia. Since launching, we have run 6 sessions for over 96 dancers drawn from street dance, contemporary dance, contact improvisation and Ballroom communities.
