De primaire taak van de Dienst van het Koninklijk Huis (DKH) is de ondersteuning van de Koning, Koningin Máxima en Prinses Beatrix en overige leden van het Koninklijk Huis bij hun dagelijkse werkzaamheden. Voor de organisatie werken bijna 300 medewerkers. Zij werken in de Koninklijke verblijven in Den Haag, Wassenaar, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn en Baarn. De meeste kantoren van de dienst zijn gevestigd op het terrein van het Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag.
