Github: https://github.com/oslabs-beta/Palaemon Palaemon is an Electron based, open-source developer tool for Kubernetes cluster monitoring and error analysis. By incorporating the Kubernetes-client JavaScript Library, Kubernetes command line tool, and Prometheus, developers can diagnose abnormalities by viewing cluster event logs and alerts in real-time, visualize cluster health and resource usage, and analyze Out of Memory (OOMKill) errors. By simplifying the use of Prometheus with built in promQL queries and moving the event logs from the command line to a graphical user interface (GUI), a high level of abstraction is created and provides quick and easy access to metrics in a visually digestible format. The analysis feature provides snapshots of terminated pods leading up to OOMKill events, streamlining the time teams would otherwise need to manually identify and diagnose those errors.
