From humble beginnings in 1955, two hardworking marine engineers, Bob Page & Mac (George) Macrae, realised their vision of creating an engineering business. This was the birthplace of what is now one of NZ’s leading engineering companies, Page Macrae Engineering. They recognised their engineers as innovators, fostering their potential. They also listened to their clients and met their challenges head-on. Today, we proudly encourage innovation by mentoring tomorrow's talent. One of our top priorities for the success & sustainability of our future generations, is to train apprentice engineers and upskill our workforce. Our apprenticeship programme has one of the largest intakes for a privately-owned company in New Zealand and has been training young engineers for over 60 years. Many former Page Macrae apprentices can now be found in engineering firms around New Zealand with many of our ‘family’ working around the world, engineering incredible things. As the legacy of this family-owned mechanical engineering icon moves to the future, the 200 plus 'family members' on our team lead the way in providing innovative solutions. Our depth of talent in Engineering Services has seen our involvement in widespread industry infrastructure and process projects. Our focus on innovation & collaboration in Port Equipment provides diverse offerings with an environmental focus on bulk materials handling equipment. Our expertise in Production Manufacturing instils a sense of pride that these services can still be provided successfully in NZ. The company is not sitting still. As we move forward, we are engineering solutions around environmental measurement and compliance, looking to harness the power of the IoT, capturing & using data, and embedding energy efficiencies into our solutions.
