In a world where religion plays so central a role in social, political, and economic events, as well as in the lives of communities and individuals, there is a critical need for ongoing reflection upon and understanding of religious traditions, issues, questions, and values. The American Academy of Religion's mission is to promote such reflection through excellence in scholarship and teaching in the field of religion and the enhancement of the public understanding of religion. As a learned society and professional association of teachers and research scholars, the American Academy of Religion has more than 8,000 members who teach in some 1,000 colleges, universities, seminaries, and schools in North America and abroad. The AAR is dedicated to furthering knowledge of religion and religious institutions in all their forms and manifestations. This is accomplished through AAR-wide and regional conferences and meetings, publications, programs, and membership services. Within a context of free inquiry and critical examination, the AAR welcomes all disciplined reflection on religion — both from within and outside of communities of belief and practice — and seeks to enhance its broad public understanding. The American Academy of Religion is not a faith-based organization. The expertise of its membership spans virtually all religions, and the AAR neither endorses nor condemns any religious belief or practice. An affiliate of Emory University, the AAR is registered as a 501(c)(3) organization with executive offices located in the Luce Center on Emory's campus in Atlanta, Georgia.

Founded in 1971, the Pagan Federation seeks to support all Pagans to ensure they have the same rights as the followers of other beliefs and religions. It aims to promote a positive profile for Pagans and Paganism and to provide information on Pagan beliefs to the media, official bodies and the greater community. The Pagan Federation regards membership of any organisations that refuse to support freedom of religion and equality of race, gender, and sexual orientation as incompatible with our aims, objectives and values. As a registered charity our charitable aims are: 1 - The elimination of discrimination against pagans on the grounds of beliefs which are recognised and protected in law and consistent with the Equality Act 2010; 2 - Advancing education of the public and raising awareness of the beliefs and practices of pagans; 3 - Cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity

Founded in 1974 by Selena Fox, Circle Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Pagan church and 200-acre nature preserve dedicated to networking, community celebrations, spiritual healing and education. Circle Sanctuary sponsors gatherings and workshops at the Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve in the forested hills of southwestern Wisconsin. Our vibrant community converges in person at classes, Full Moon circles, seasonal sabbats, volunteer days, Sacred Fire Circles and at our annual week-long Pagan Spirit Gathering. Circle Sanctuary also keeps in touch with national and international Pagan communities through our email announcement lists and through our quarterly CIRCLE Magazine. We also advocate religious freedom through the Lady Liberty League and participate in interfaith dialogues. We serve active and retired troops through our military ministries, and we also operate a 20-acre green cemetery.
