Págame is a fintech platform founded by three Wharton students and a Penn Engineering student which aims to bring financial inclusion to Latin America. It is developing software that facilitates Bank-to-Bank payments in Bolivia. To do so, Págame facilitates digital peer-to-peer transactions in Bolivia by incorporating a P2P payment “plug-in” into banks’ mobile apps. This allows users to send, receive, and request money by using their phone number, Págame ID, or QR code. In the long run Págame seeks to bring financial inclusion to LATAM by facilitating financial account creation.
