PACT Design Studio Information

TRUSTED EXPERTISE PACT Design Studio was founded in 2012 by Architects who believe that good design goes hand-in-hand with craftsmanship and that a beautiful building is a simple one that serves its purpose well. We design spaces to help our clients live, work, learn, and connect with others more fully and productively than they could before. We create buildings and spaces the way we build furniture: by carefully selecting materials that respond to each project’s unique context and then artfully joining those materials to create objects that are useful and elegant, distinct and engaging, contextual and sustainable. WE FOCUS ON A TEAM APPROACH We chose the name PACT because we approach every project as a partnership with the client. We believe that partnership goes beyond the architect-owner relationship. It extends to the entire design team and includes the contractor. We find this approach delivers the best and most consistent results. WE LISTEN Your project is important to us. We understand that each project is unique and has its own purpose and set of requirements. We ask A LOT of questions to identify, articulate, and prioritize both the spoken and unspoken needs of the client and project. We understand that the vision and mission for the project is yours, not ours. Our job as the Architect is to understand and respect that vision and to lead the team that makes it a reality. WE GIVE BACK We dedicate a portion of our project schedule to providing design services to non-profit clients, and we promote the idea that good design is for everyone. What is good design? It is the process of taking the time to understand a problem and then solving that problem in a way that is innovative and efficient, user-friendly and rewarding, affordable and long-lasting. At the end of each project, large or small, our goal is for the client to be able to say, “This makes my life better.”
