Paco Raphael, contemporary visual artist and conceptual designer, believes art is a personal learning curve. “Everything has already been said and done somewhere in human history. It’s all about the core and the origins of styles”. The Dutch born conceptual artist, based in Amsterdam, uses photography as his main ingredient. By photographing unique images on his frequent travels he ensures his works stays authentic and personal. He mixes this main ingredient with the love for the 50’s, 60’s and 70. Next to that he’s also inspired by old cinema, typography, graphic art, fashion, architecture and music. By subtly blending all elements Paco creates a vibrant and unique mixed media visual style which he uses in his art and product designs. His style can be best defined as Urban American, dynamic, elegant, erotic with hints of illusion.
