Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) uses tiny keyhole incisions through which the surgeon can laparascopically or robotically accomplish the same surgery as they would otherwise through a large abdominal incision. MIS offers less pain, shorter hospital stays and less complications such as bleeding or infection.
