Established in Wellington in 1990, L’affare is a pioneer of New Zealand’s celebrated café and coffee culture. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, we’ve covered the globe to bring the best and freshest coffee to New Zealanders. Our iconic café in College Street remains in its original location 27 years later. And in March 2016 we opened the door to our flagship Auckland roastery, café and HQ in Newmarket. Today we continue to roast locally and we continue to explore the world – all in the name of coffee. You'll find our fresh roasted coffee in supermarkets, fresh markets & cafes throughout New Zealand.

We roast and supply exceptional Fairtrade, organic coffee to the people of NZ. Proudly NZ owned, you'll find our beans in cafes, restaurants, workplaces and homes across Aotearoa, and at our purposed built coffee bar on Level 1 of Auckland's Commercial Bay. We pride ourselves on being a progressive, transparent, innovation-led specialty coffee roastery in it for the long game. We are Biogro certified organic, and our climate neutral coffee accreditation is through the Fair Climate Fund. Our roastery is in Mt Eden, Auckland.
