OzGREEN Information

OzGREEN is an independent not-for-profit organisation building stronger communities through STEM, environmental action and community-led learning. For more than 30 years, we have worked alongside schools, communities, scientists, government, industry and First Nations partners to create positive social and environmental change. Our programs connect people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take action on the issues that matter most to their communities. Through STEM education, citizen science, environmental stewardship, youth leadership, waste reduction and wellbeing initiatives, we help communities learn, connect and thrive. Today, our work includes STEM Conferences for Regional Girls, citizen science programs such as Macro Muster and Riverwatch, sustainability and waste reduction initiatives, youth leadership programs, environmental education and community wellbeing projects. OzGREEN has engaged more than 100,000 people in environmental learning, leadership and community action programs and has received numerous awards, including the Eureka Prize, Banksia Awards, United Nations Media Peace Awards and recognition from the Australian Association for Environmental Education. Founded in Australia, OzGREEN continues to support communities locally and globally through innovative approaches to sustainability education, participatory leadership and community-led change. Together, we are helping create sustainable futures where people, communities and the environment can thrive.
