Oxygen Information

Oxygen was awarded the Best charity or social enterprise 2018 by Kingston Business Excellence and selected as one of the Kingston Mayor’s charities 2019/20. Oxygen, is an exciting and dynamic youth organisation operating in south-west London and based in Kingston upon Thames. Oxygen was the vision of a group of young people who wanted to reach out to others to demonstrate their faith and meet their needs, specifically those who are marginalised and disadvantaged. It is supported by over thirty churches in the Boroughs of Kingston and Richmond as well as local trusts, individual donors and local government. Oxygen has proven highly successful in enabling young people to overcome the challenges they face and supporting them through our youth clubs, afterschool clubs, mentoring programme and the Developing Leaders Programme. Oxygen develops innovative programmes and interventions to respond to young people’s needs and it’s ‘What’s the Point?’ programme, tackling knife crime, has continued to grow and expand over the last 6 years. Oxygen has also recently established a charity shop in New Malden through which many young people are able to volunteer and put something back in a positive way. We work in partnership with voluntary, faith and statutory agencies to give young people the opportunity to grow and develop through a variety of experiences. Oxygen, offers support to young people from all backgrounds and faiths, working to help them discover their identity, raise their aspirations and fulfil their potential.
