Owl Eyes Magazine Information

Owl Eyes is an online student culture magazine, based in the university town of St Andrews. Founded in the summer of 2010 by Nina Zietman and Tamara Raoufi, Owl Eyes aimed to fill a gap in the student media market by providing readers with carefully chosen articles on food & drink, travel, fashion, film, literature, art and photography. Owl Eyes' main priority is keeping up-to-date with St Andrews student life, including publishing a frequently updated event photography page. Owl Eyes works closely with students, societies and local businesses to bring students the latest from St Andrews' cultural scene. As print journalism is soon to become obsolete, Owl Eyes maintains the stance that it is a solely online publication, with the aim of moving forward with technological advances, but also retaining key aspects of the past: old books, hand-drawn illustrations, jazz music, swing dancing. Owl Eyes places heavy emphasis on good design, ensuring that the website not only contains enticing articles, but also looks aesthetically pleasing as well.
