Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) is one of the figureheads of Dutch performing arts. Our theatre in the heart of Amsterdam is home to our own international ensemble of actors, as well as many other performing artists from the Netherlands and abroad. Together, theatre and ensemble form a unique institution that programmes, produces and inspires from a contemporary vision. Driven by meaning, together we keep our finger on the pulse of the times. ITA is the location of major festivals such as Brandhaarden, Julidans, Holland Festival and the Dutch Theatre Festival. The monumental theatre on Leidseplein is also home to ITA Academy, which focuses on talent development, education and cooperation. The building is a unique meeting place with its own ITA Brasserie, where front and back of theatre become one, with no boundary between makers and audience.

Het Holland Festival is het grootste internationale podiumkunstenfestival van Nederland. Elk jaar in juni toont het festival op culturele podia en op locaties verspreid over Amsterdam alle disciplines binnen de podiumkunsten: theater, dans, muziek, muziektheater en diverse multidisciplinaire vormen. Het Holland Festival is voortdurend in ontwikkeling en biedt een afwisselend programma. Het getoonde werk moet idealiter een onvergetelijke indruk achterlaten: door de inhoud, de kwaliteit van makers en uitvoerenden en de ervaring die het biedt. Het Holland Festival is ‘state of the art’ en wil zijn positie als toonaangevend, trendsettend internationaal podiumkunstenfestival continueren. Het toont werk van westerse en niet-westerse makers, initieert internationale coproducties en geeft ook opdrachten aan Nederlandse kunstenaars en gezelschappen. Sinds 2019 werkt het festival samen met associate artists. In 2019 met William Kentridge en Faustin Linyekula, in 2020 met Bill T. Jones, in 2021 met Gisèle Vienne en Ryuichi Sakamoto, in 2022 met Angélique Kidjo en Nicolas Stemann, in 2023 met ANOHNI, in 2024 met Christiane Jatahy en in 2025 met Trajal Harrell.

Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond is sinds 1981 dé expert in Nederland voor actuele vernieuwende Vlaamse podiumkunsten, beeldende kunst en muziek. Als podium en netwerkorganisatie initiëren en realiseren we programma’s en samenwerkingen in ons gebouw in Amsterdam en op andere locaties in Nederland. Vlaamse kunstenaars met artistieke durf ondersteunen wij bij het opbouwen van een duurzame praktijk in Nederland. Het Nederlandse publiek en professionele veld bieden we een complementair geluid.
