Everyone's out there buying veterinary hospitals. We're more interested in making them great. We invest in the things most groups don't think about (brand, design, client experience, mentorship) alongside the things that actually make a hospital run well. The goal is hospitals that feel as good as they are. How we got here: we were part of a veterinary roll-up that went sideways. Too much focus on spreadsheets, not enough on people. The kind of consolidation that gives consolidation a bad name. We took it over, gutted the playbook, and rebuilt it into something we'd actually want to be part of. That became Outpost. We're two hospitals in and growing with purpose, not on a timeline. We'd rather have ten great hospitals than a hundred mediocre ones. The industry has enough of those already. Our thing is pretty straightforward: we don't believe you need to strip the soul out of a hospital to make it run better. The legacy stays. The team stays. We just make everything around it stronger. Turns out you can have great operations and great culture at the same time. Funny how that sounds obvious until you try to find it. If you're a vet who got into this profession to practice great medicine and ended up fighting corporate bureaucracy instead, or an owner who built something real and is wondering what comes next, we're worth a conversation. We might not be your thing, and that's fine. But if we are, you'll probably know pretty quickly. howdy@outpost.vet Modern care. Local heart.
